New Moon Nidra

Join us for a New Moon Nidra Workshop from 3:00-4:30pm on Saturday December 8th!


Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation technique practiced in savasana.  This practice is deeply restful as we systematically relax and withdraw the senses from the body, while maintaining a calm and alert state of mind.  Throughout the different stages of this guided meditation we discover more access to the subtle body, subconscious and unconscious mind.


Yoga nidra promotes deep relaxation⎯⎯alleviating physical tension, as well as emotional, mental and energetic stress.  It also reliably reveals and awakens your inner reservoir of intuitive understanding and unconditional joy. It can be practiced by itself to restore an overworked body and mind, or as a precursor to lucid dreaming or astral projection.  How deep do you want to go?


In this workshop, we will use asana, pranayama, kriya, restorative postures, visualization and yoga nidra.


This practice will begin with a slow vinyasa flow to open up the body, release stress and prepare us to delve deep into the meditative and healing aspects of yoga.  Through integrated breath & movement, we follow a slower, more mellow pace where postures are held for a moderate length of time to create awareness in the mind and body.  We transition from the asana practice with restorative postures and prepare for a 30-40 minutes of yoga nidra.


This workshop is suitable for all levels.  $30

Transition Into Winter - Sound Meditation

Join us for a relaxing sound bath where we prepare for the winter by focusing inward and setting our intention for the season. Listen to crystal and singing bowls, ocean drums and flutes as you deepen your breath and relax your body. Winter is a time of deep reflection and rest where we focus on storing energy, creating boundaries and taking care of ourselves. Sound energy supports and nourishes us by anchoring our awareness and creating a space to shift attention inward where we need it most. 

Alexandra Radoaca is a sound practitioner and herbalist. She creates a nurturing space and invites us to connect to our deepest self using sound, energy work and meditation. She has developed a deep connection to the earth by trekking mountains across the world, hiking local trails, practicing earth living skills and working with medicinal herbs. Alex is passionate about how different cultures use sound to heal and help process emotional, spiritual and physical challenges. She creates soundscapes that incorporate nature elements and indigenous instruments to facilitate self healing. Alex has been practicing under the guidance of Jessica Caplan and Katie Down for the last year and has studied with 9ways Academia under Mitch Nur and Alexandre Tannous.  Alex is a New York State certified camping and hiking guide and a Wilderness First Responder.

Also known as yogic sleep, Yoga Nidra helps to release unconscious patterns of tension while resting in effortlessness. This workshop includes some easy movement and breath work meant to prepare the body for rest. 

Jodi Epstein is a certified yoga and meditation teacher, wellness program developer, composer, and musician. Her classes and workshops place an emphasis on breath, personal alignment, and moment-to-moment embodiment.
